Aramid Air slide Fabrics have emerged as a good option for belting needs. They are suitable for a wide range of application. Due to the light weight of Aramid belts, the weight of the whole system can be reduced thus helping reduce the power consumption. Apart from this Aramid have EXCELLENT RESISTANCE against heat and chemical, low elongation, flame resistant and no creep making it a suitable option for most belting needs. Polyester is one of the most used media for Air Slide belts. It has emerged as a great replacement for Cotton or Nylon belts due to Great Fatigue, good resistance to abrasion & fungus, low water absorption and is very stable dimensionally. Today majority of the conveyor belts are made of Polyester due to it good properties and less expensive than other materials. Cotton was one of the most used air slide fabric for belting but is now used very less due to the fact that it has very poor resistance when exposed to wet conditions. Now as a better alternative many synthetic Fibres are used in place of cotton for belting needs.
